SCOTT EATON – SHORT BIO    簡介 

Scott Eaton is an artist, technical director and lecturer residing inLondon , UK . He received his master’s degree from the MIT Media Lab and subsequently studied traditional fine art at the Florence Academy of Art, Italy where he began to integrate the lessons of the old masters with modern computer graphics tools. Working in computer graphics combines his interest in the technical aspects of computer science with the visual and artistic nature of digital sculpture, rendering and animation.

Scott Eaton 是個兼具傳統雕塑手藝，且熟稔數位高科技應用的藝術家，同時也常駐英國倫敦擔任講師。在他獲得麻省理工學院媒體實驗室（MIT Media Lab）的學位認可後，隨即赴往義大利的佛羅倫斯藝術學院（Florence Academy of Art）學習傳統藝術，而自此開始，Scott Eaton 便試圖將古老的傳統藝術，與現代的電腦繪圖技術，作跨領域的結合。在他的電腦繪圖創作中，透過高科技形式的介面，Scott Eaton 希望複合古典與現代，呈現出極富視覺效果與藝術性格的數位雕塑或動畫之類的作品。

Scott has transferred many of the lessons from Florence and the knowledge of years of subsequent study into his Anatomy for Digital Artists Course. He believes that understanding the underlying form and function of the figure is critical to success as a character designer, modeler, rigger or animator. His course combines classical anatomy training with modern digital tools and gives artists a solid foundation for astering artistic anatomy. Scott is currently working as Senior Technical Director at Framestore, London. He divides his remaining time between his art, consulting, and his anatomy courses. His clients include Pixar, Sony,
Microsoft Game Studios, The Mill, Pixologic, and many other post production houses and games studios.

在佛羅倫斯，Scott Eaton 為了他的數位藝術創作，致力於研讀藝用解剖學，而這幾年來的累積，也成為他能跨學門的轉換工具與材料。他深信，唯有了解人體之內與表皮之下的構造與機能，才得以成功地升任為一名人物角色的設計師、建模師、關節設計師或是動畫師。Scott Eaton 有著藝用解剖學的深厚基礎作為本錢，讓他在使用數位工具創作時，更得心應手。
Scott Eaton 目前在倫敦名為 Framestore 的學校從事技術指導，所以除了藝術創作以及諮詢顧問的工作之外，他還有一些學校內的解剖學課程要教授。委託過他的客戶包含了皮克斯、新力、微軟遊戲工作室、The Mill、Pixologic…以及一些後期製作公司和遊戲開發工作室。
